How We Operate In The Himalayas
Our airport staff and your guide will meet you at the Kathmandu airport upon arrival and transfer you to your hotel. An orientation program will be held to tell you about the trip and your guide will generally be available to show you around and he/ she will be happy to organize sightseeing trips and advise you on other travel and culture related services.
Please bring what you need down to the hotel lobby before breakfast and separate it into two piles - one for the trek and other for safe storage at the hotel (clearly label your name and the name of the trek you are on). Please deposit the goods that you do not need and the valuables you do no wish to carry in the hotel safe and ensure that you get a receipt for the goods deposited. The receipt should kept safely.
Your guide will come to the hotel and pick you up. We may leave for your travel destination on a bus, car, of airplane. Nepali leaders and guides conduct all of our treks and tours as the mountains are their home and they have years of experience in the travel trade business. Who better than a local guide to show you the nooks and the crannies in the Himalayas and provide you with an in sight to Nepalese cultures and manners. The trekking staff members consist of a sirdar (head guide), cook and kitchen staff, Sherpa guides, and porters. This self-contained team can take you safely to the remotest regions of Nepal and provide you with opportunities to explore and learn about the cultures that make them among the friendliest and most cheerful of people. You will find them to be an excellent company and great fun!

Daily routine while on a trek
On your trek, every morning, you will receive a wake up call and cup of tea in your tent at around 6 am. A bowl of warm water will be provided for washing. Before breakfast please make sure that you have packed Your bag up all gear and please also stuff your sleeping bag in your duffel bag, roll up your sleeping mat into stuff sack, and make sure that your tent is free of rubbish and ready for your next camp.
Your baggage will now be tied up with other gear and carried off early by porters. The baggage will not be available until you reach the next camp. We usually hit the trail by 8 am. After a good morning's hike, we stop for a lunch at around 11 a.m. And rest for about two hours. As this is the warmest part of the day, you can wash up, catch up with your writing, read a book, or enjoy the scenery. Generally the afternoon walk is a little shorter than the morning walk. You will reach the camp by 4 p.m. on average. Please bear in mind that these timings are not exact. Trail conditions, weather, and availability of suitable campsites and water supply may influence our schedule.

Longer treks and climbs
While on a rigorous, long, or remote area trek, please bear in mind that walking duration and general trek routines may differ at any time due to trail conditions and weather. Remote areas are hard to predict. However, our guides and birders are very experienced and have traveled in these areas. They will assure that you are safe and will always lend a helping hand. We hope that you will extend full cooperation from your end. High altitudes and remote Himalayan regions should never be taken lightly. Another note, on longer difficult treks the food provided by our expedition cooks may not be as varied as on shorter treks. In these trips we have really totally on what we can carry as there may be no villages on the trail and we will be far from fresh food supplies.
Change in travel arrangement and unscheduled delays
In case, voluntarily, if you make a decision to change your travel itinerary in the middle of your trek/trip, you will have to bear all any additional charges involved. our guide will advise you regarding the logistics involved but bear in mind that you are responsible for all arrangements. Since Nepal is a third developing country, delays may occur due to weather problems and transport difficulties. Delays and waiting are common in this part of the world. We will do what we can to make things happen. We hope that you will also appreciate this aspect of your travel experience: travel experience in Nepal comes as a package.
